The case inlaid overall with brass trailing foliage and mother-of-pearl flowerheads, the pagoda shaped top with later urn finials, the arched door flanked by outset yellow enamel columns, fishscale fret panels to the sides and glazed rear door, raised on a sectional stepped base, with central circular dial and arched automaton above with fret screen and standing figure with right arm moving with the strike, the associated two train chain fusee movement with verge escapement and rack striking to bell, the backplate with engraved border and two 'nonsense' signatures.
