The case by Henri Picard (French, fl. 1831-1864), the movement by Denière & fils (French, 1804-1903), after a model by André-Charles Boulle (French, 1642-1732)

The architectural case surmounted by Father Time, the enameled Roman dial signed 'DENIERE / FT DE BRONZES / A PARIS', the sides cast with musical trophies and flowers, on tapered feet, set on a red marble rectangular plinth applied with scrolling acanthus mounts centered by a mask, the reverse of the clock stamped 'H. PICARD', the movement with the Denière cachet
