The table features a hinged top with a decorative parquetry cube pattern. The tabletop is of curved, rectangular shape and features a gilt rim. The front of the edge of the table is decorated with a foliate ormolu mount, all set on four cabriole legs ending in ormolu hoof feet. The rear legs of the table extend backwards, and the tabletop can be unfolded to reveal a red playing surface, transforming the console table to a card table. The mount is signed 'F. Linke.'
