This fine three-piece clock set is comprised of a central mantel clock and a pair of en suite candelabra. The set is crafted from ormolu and malachite, with the malachite veneer being a later addition.
The mantel clock features a shaped malachite base topped with a moulded ormolu plateau. The clock case is of plinth form with waisted sides, reminiscent of the form of a violin. The malachite case is bordered with ormolu banding and is set with a centrally placed blue dial adorned with polychrome champlevé enamel. The case is flanked by twin ormolu scrolling brackets, with the top of each bracket featuring a female bust surmount. The clock is surmounted by an urn-form malachite finial.
The pair of en suite candelabra are similarly decorated, each featuring a conforming body and each supporting the springing of seven scrolling light branches.
