With ormolu mounts, and decorated throughout with a beautiful array of rich wooden materials, this fine antique dressing table was crafted in France in the late nineteenth century in fine Louis XVI style.
The canted hinged breakfront top opens up to reveal a bevelled plate. The interior of the piece is fitted with two tan leather-lined winged trays, opening up in a variety of ways to reveal an elaborate array of mechanisms and compartments.
Above, there is a glazed lid which encloses three wells, comprising various shaped divisions, and beneath that, a sprung short drawer with a plaquette. The fine piece is set on square tapering legs with brass caps, and makes a beautiful addtion to one's home, for those with a taste for antique style and refinement.
