Description

The bed is rectangular in shape, with a high back and sides featuring a carved semi-circular frieze to the front. It is mounted with ormolu swans, laurel wreaths and a mask. It is set on tapering baluster feet, which has been upholstered in cushioned green and gold striped silk. It dates from the Restauration period and is very similar to the slighty earlier Empire period in terms of style. Framed in rich mahogany, it would make an excellent addition to any traditional lounge space.
