Ormolu mounted oval table retailed by Au Gros Chêne

The table features an oval tabletop adorned with veneers arranged in a geometrical manner, all set below a protective glass covering. The similarly veneered apron of the table features a large frieze drawer with an ormolu escutcheon and handles. Each of the four legs terminates in an ormolu foliate sabot and is mounted to the shoulder with an ornate scrolled acanthus leaf form, deftly wrought from gilt bronze.
