This excellent piece is a Louis XV/Rococo style side table, made in France in the nineteenth century, and retailed by the Parisian workshop, Deveraux.
The elegant upper surface is crated from a ormolu border which is inlaid with marble. The slender, curved, ormolu frame leads to four cabriole legs; and the underside of the label is marked with partially torn retailer's label for Deveraux, Paris, indicating the very fine craftsmanship and workshop responsible for this elegant piece.
The richly veneered wood is curved in elegant Louis XV bombe forms, making an exceptionally pleasing piece for any modern interior.
