This very unusual three-piece clock set, comprised of a mantel clock and a pair of flanking candelabra, is crafted from ormolu, cut glass, and turquoise porcelain in an eclectic style. The mantel clock features a silvered dial set into an elaborate pediment formed from ormolu scrolling forms. The dial is surmounted by a turquoise porcelain finial of love birds, while the pediment is set atop a glass entablature raised by four glass spirally fluted columns mounted with ormolu above a glass and ormolu base. The base, between the columns, hosts a seated cherub, also wrought from turquoise porcelain.
The candelabra are similarly formed, each with a turquoise and cut-glass baluster stem supporting three scrolling ormolu light branches, each terminating in a turquoise porcelain candle holder. The stem culminates in a fourth candle holder, set with a removable porcelain flambeau.
