This pair of candlesticks, crafted by the renowned English silversmith Edward Barnard & Sons in 1919, reflects the quality and elegance typical of British silverware from that period. Edward Barnard & Sons, a prominent London silversmithing company with origins dating back to around 1680, is celebrated for its skilful craftsmanship and for producing fine silver pieces often influenced by classical and neoclassical designs. 

Each candlestick features a smooth surface with gentle fluting, tapering columns, and circular bases. The addition of prominent bands enhances the visual appeal of this elegant pair.

Both pieces are stamped with an array of hallmarks, including the maker’s mark, the lion passant, the city mark, and a date letter.
