These delightful pieces are a pair of Bohemian black glass vases, enamelled and decorated with intricate floral motifs. Each piece is fitted with a cover and is adorned with an intricate array of colourful flowers in pale blue and pastel shades.
Such work is an excellent example of Bohemian nineteenth century glass making, whererby a rich dark ground glass colour is enamelled with vibrant complementary colours. In a round bottle-like shape, and with gilding to the neck, base, and lids, these are a delightful collector's set, for those with an appreciation of the finest antique glass-making.
