The vases in this pair are of amphora form and are crafted from white opaline glass. Each vase features a parcel gilt foot, rising to a narrow waist, which in turn widens into the bulbous body of the vase; each in turn culminates in a slender neck terminating in a flared gilt-edged rim. The body of each vase is profusely painted with delicate portrayals of flower studies, all set above a distant idyllic landscape.
