Description

This unusual pair of wall lights is crafted in the distinctive Japonisme style. Each wall light features a rectangular ormolu backplate inset with two panels of blue enamel beneath pierced ormolu foliate sprays in the Japanese manner. The backplate of each supports the springing of three scrolling light branches, each branch naturalistically rendered as a gnarled, flower-issuing tree branch. The light branches, which terminate at different levels, support drip pans and candle holders adorned with polychrome champlevé enamel.
