The pedestals in this pair are wrought from mahogany in the Louis XVI style. Each pedestal is of tapering form, narrowing from top to bottom. The top of each pedestal features a flat plateau above a flared entablature, while the base of each is stepped. The pedestals feature profuse giltwood decorations in the Neoclassical style: the panels on each side are framed with giltwood beading and cornered with giltwood rosettes, while the upper section of each features a rinceau frieze centred with a grotesque mask.
