Pair of monumental Neo-Gothic style brass candelabra

This truly monumental pair of brass candelabra is a fine demonstration of the Neo-Gothic, or Gothic Revival, style. Each candelabrum features two tiers of lights, with eight lights above and sixteen below. Both the upper and lower tiers of lights issue from pierced brass meridians, which are in turn supported by a series of ornately scrolled brass brackets. The brackets above the upper tier merge into a single stem, which supports one candle. The candelabra are supported by caged multi-stemmed columns that are decorated with scrolling supports. The column of each is set atop a brass pierced spreading base.
