Dating to the third quarter of the nineteenth century, these superb surtouts de table are mounted with decorative elements in gilt-bronze.
These are each formed of a circular outline in ormolu above with mirrored plateaux in the centre. The gallery around the side is cast with pierced scrolling foliage, which stands on a trio of short scrolled supports. Low in height but large in width, they are an exceptional pair of decorative works, and beautiful antique decorative objects for any grand dining interior.
