The charming photograph frames in this pair are crafted from ormolu, or gilt bronze, in the Neoclassical style. The face of each frame is moulded with fine detailing, including floral garlands and other scrolling foliate motifs, all executed in low relief. Each frame is finished below with a grasping acanthus leaf design, and above with a tied ribbon crown. The frames are raised on two feet and supported from behind by an easel backing.
