This fine Neoclassical style corner cabinets have a distinguished provenance: the pair was included in an inventory of the contents of Windsor Castle conducted in 1866. Each cabinet is quadrant shaped, with two straight sides at a right angle to one another, and a front façade that is gentle curved. The cabinets are surmounted by white-grey marble tops, which are supported above an ormolu banded entablature. The entablature of each is visibly raised on twin mahogany columns, each finished with an ormolu capital and base, between which is situated the ormolu finished cabinet door. Each is raised on a shaped apron.
The cabinets are stamped 'VR / 1866 / WINDSOR CASTLE / ROOM 209'.
