The wall appliques feature silvered bronze female figures, who are depicted in the act of leaping forwards. The figures are designed to face one another, so one is depicted with her body turned towards us and the other turned away. Each woman uses her extended left leg to propel herself off the ground, while her right leg, which is bent at the knee, points forward. Both women raise their hands and hold draperies which billow out behind their bodies. The women’s heads are turned in profile. They wear short dresses, and their hair it plaited into buns. One figure’s foot is signed ‘GORI’.
These silvered bronze figures are mounted onto rectangular frosted glass panels, one of which is slightly green in colour and the other blue. These panels are decorated with stylised geometric motifs and fitted with wall mounts.
The items can be mounted directly onto a wall and enjoyed as decorative features, or they can be placed over lights and used as sconces.
