The torchères (flat-topped candlestick stands), stand on triform supports, each composed of three curved legs, decorated with leaf carvings, and terminating in ball-and-claw feet. The torchère stems are designed like Baroque Solomonic (or Barley-sugar) columns, with stylised foliate bases and twisted spiral stems. The stems are topped by leafy capitals, which are surmounted by flat circular tops.
The torchères could be placed on either side of a table, mirror, or artwork, and used to support candelabra, small bronze sculptures, or other fine works of decorative art.
