The pair of side tables are of identical design. Each table stands on four ormolu (gilt bronze) legs which terminate in paw feet. The legs are connected by vertical X-shaped stretchers, their joins decorated with malachite medallions. The legs support circular tops which are veneered in malachite. This bright green stone wonderfully contrasts with the lustrous golden ormolu supports.
