This pair of ormolu (gilt bronze) Neoclassical style standing floor lamps is formed about the scheme of a classical column. The ormolu stem of each lamp is formed from a fluted shaft that culminates in a Corinthian capital, which supports the lighting fixture apparatus. The torus that defines the lower terminus of the shaft of each column stands on an ormolu plinth, which is mounted on its four sides with ormolu ribbon-wrapped laurel wreaths. The plinth of each lamp is supported by a three-tiered stepped ormolu base, which stands on four claw feet, each foot affixed to the base with an elaborate scrolling mount.
