Description

The panels in this beautiful pair are contained by exquisitely carved giltwood frames. Each black lacquered panel is inlaid with ivory to produce figurative compositions. One panel depicts a lily in a vase, petals and leaves fallen about it, while the other portrays another complementary flower. The flower compositions, which are encompassed by elaborate borders, are delicately wrought, the natural tonal variety of the ivory utilised to create a sense of volume.
