Description

The candelabra stand on square ormolu (gilt bronze) plinths which are are set on rectangular feet, decorated with rosettes. The candelabra stems are crafted from bisque (unglazed white) porcelain and modelled in the shape of putti. The putti stand on circular bases which are encircled by ormolu reed-and-leaf bands. The nude putti cling to central fluted columns with acanthus leaf capitals. In each stem, one putto, partially draped with fabrics, wraps his arms around the column shaft, while the other stretches up to touch the top of the capital. These capitals are encircled by ormolu wreath-like bands and their tops are edged with ormolu acanthus leaves. The candelabra stems are topped by ormolu candle-holders which are shaped like lily flowers.

These candelabra can be purchased as a single item or they could be coupled with these pedestals, as seen in the final image.
