Description

The pedestals in this pair are crafted from carved giltwood and marble. Each pedestal features a circular top, with an apron intricately carved with a floret and entrelac frieze. The top of each is supported by three legs: each leg features a scrolled top wrapped with a grasping acanthus leaf and adorned with garlands and tassels; the central section of each leg curves elegantly inwards, before flaring outwards again and terminating in a hoof foot. The three feet are set on a triangular giltwood base carved with a foliate border, which in turn is raised on a white marble plinth.
