The pedestals are shaped like classical columns, with simple giltwood bases and capitals and smooth ebonised wood shafts. They stand on short circular ebonised wood plinths. The shafts of the pedestals are decorated with carved giltwood lion head masks holding gilt metal rings in their mouths. Carved giltwood foliage swags are suspended from the lion masks. The pedestals feature circular ebonised wood tops which are inlaid with white marble.
