These monumental twelve-light candelabra feature elaborate ormolu light branches that are held aloft by two figures delicately carved from ebonised wood.
Each monumental candelabrum in this pair features a rockwork base with three feet, supporting a trio of interwoven Baroque style dolphins, atop of which sits a figure holding and blowing a seashell. The rockwork bases, the dolphins, the figures, and the shells are all carved from wood, which is painted (gold for the dolphins, for instance) and ebonised. The shell held aloft by the figure issues an elaborate series of twelve branches, crafted from ormolu, and draped with droplets of cut glass.
