The wall lights are of identical design. They are composed of architectural, banded back-plates which are decorated with draped fabrics and topped by ribbon bows. From each back-plate, there springs three candle-holders. These take the form of short outward-curved arms which are edged with acanthus leaves and their ends beaded. The arms support turned drip-pans and capitals which hold white candle-tubes. Below, the back-plates terminate in stylised acanthus leaves and draperies.
These wall lights are designed in an elegant and refined Neoclassical style, after decorative arts of the late 18th Century. Once turned on, the light they produce will catch on their golden surfaces, illuminating them and adding to their beauty.
