Each vase features a trumpet form body, which is intricately decorated with turquoise, navy, yellow, green, red and white enamel. These colourful designs depict stylised flowers and foliage. The enamel has been applied using the champlevé technique, whereby the designs are cut into the metal surface of the object and then filled with vitreous enamel. The vase bodies are supported by ormolu semi-nude putti. These stand on circular, flared champlevé enamel bases.
