This fine pair of ceiling roses is wrought from gilt brass, the gilding having worn slightly with age into a warm patination. Each rose features a corona of alternating anthemia and acanthus leaves, all finely cast with delicate detailing. The corona springs from a central octagonal roundel, which is centred with a dome pierced with a hole through with the light cord passes. The spare, elegant form of the pair demonstrates the best of Regency period Neoclassicism.
