The salt and pepper bowls in this pair are designed in the elegant Russian Neoclassical style from nephrite, silver, and semi-precious stones. Each bowl features an oval profile, the carved nephrite body mounted outside with an encompassing silver beaded rim and laurel festoons adorned with semi-precious stones, all over a silver spreading base.
Each is marked with a zolotnik 88 mark (the equivalent of Sterling silver) and a maker’s mark in Cyrillic.
