The monumental pair of twelve-light wall lights is crafted from ormolu in the beautiful Louis XV Rococo style.
Each light features three tiers of branches supported by a central shaped column: the lowest tier of six larger branches, a middle tier of five smaller branches, and a top tier of one single branch. The curved branches are adorned with ormolu scrolled acanthus leaves and other foliate forms in a richly detailed decorative scheme. Each branch culminates in an ormolu foliate candle holder and drip pan. The bottom of each light is adorned with a drop finial in the form of a bunch of grapes, as well as superbly rendered foliate garlands. Strikingly, twin ormolu espagnolette type figures occupy the centre of each lamp, their arms grasping the central column—a true flourish in the Rococo manner.
