This unusual chandelier is beautifully crafted in the Art Nouveau style so popular at the start of the last century. The chandelier features three lights, each light formed from clusters of sculptural pieces of lime green glass, as if to mimic bunches of grapes. The three lights are suspended from the patinated bronze body of the chandelier, the frame of which features a large vine-like loop, interwound with patinated bronze sprays and leaves. Within the centre of the loop flies a winged female figure, her hands grasping the vine-like loop, as if she is pulling herself through. The patination of the bronze is exquisite, lending the piece a warm and sculptural quality.
The chandelier hangs from two chains, the chains meeting at a three-leaf patinated bronze corona, which serves as the ceiling mount.
