Patinated and gilt bronze coffee table with marble specimen top

The coffee table is crafted from gilt and patinated bronze and a variety of specimen stones. The top of the table is Italian in origin, with the black marble plateau inlaid with a geometrical grid of polychrome marble specimens, including Siena marble and malachite. The support of the table is French and is crafted in the Neoclassical style. The apron, of patinated bronze, is set with classicising ormolu mounts, including acanthus leaf sprays and rosettes. The table is supported by four tapered ormolu legs, with the four legs connected by a cross stretcher centred by a pierced ormolu basket.
