The water stoup features a silver frame and inlaid painted porcelain plaque. The silver frame is of oval form and formed of scrolling acanthus leaf, flower and shell forms, and features a putti to either side and a lower basin of shell form. The porcelain plaque is painted with The Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven. The silver is hallmarked with a crescent shaped half moon and '800'.
