Description

This fine chandelier is of excellent quality, brimming with the lavish details synonymous with the Rococo style.

The central column of the chandelier is crafted from ormolu, or gilt bronze, and features twenty-four light branches arranged through two tiers. Each scrolled branch is intricately cast, and is finished with foliate detailing that culminates in an ornate bobeche, holding a candle fixture that has dripped wax detail.

Each branching arm is draped with faceted cut glass decorations, which are rendered in a variety of flowing drops, flowers, and pendants. The shaped central stem culminates in a flared corona, rendered with foliage, and draped with yet more cut glass. The glass elements glimmer beautifully once the chandelier is illuminated, providing a superb complement to the shining ormolu.

Of an attractive size and form, this chandelier would be a beautiful addition to the appropriate interior.
