The case featuring swags of foliage and details of fruit, mounted with a painted porcelain plaque to the centre displaying a Watteau-esque scene of a gentleman climbing a ladder with two maidens in pursuit; the porcelain clock dial displaying the time in gold Roman numerals and decorated with flowers on a turquoise and white ground; with two further porcelain mounts as columns flanking the central plaque and several other porcelain mounts all similarly decorated with flowers and putti.
