These charming and delightful pieces, made in the early twentieth century in France, are a set of twelve Art Deco and Cubist-inspired knife rests, very similar to pieces by the famous maker Christofle.
Modelled as various animals, this particular set consisting of lions, fish, rhinoceri, seals, flies and cockerels, sets such as this are highly collectable and enjoyable pieces, both practical and admirable as works of finely executed silver-plated sculptures. Fish (eg.): 3cm x 10cm wide x 2.5cm depth.
