Description

These small silver boxes, possibly made as salt and pepper or pill pots, are each finely shaped to resemble a small crab. Each crab is complete with a pair of pincers, and open up with a hinge at the back. These charming objects are also embellished with eyes made of coral, adding a delightful spark of colour to these sterling silver pieces.

They are stamped for Gianmaria Buccellati, co-founder of the prestigious Buccellati jewellery and watch company, and date from the 1960s to 70s.
