Silver mounted cut and engraved glass sherry decanter

This fine cut glass decanter features a silver mount by the Sheffield silversmiths Roberts & Belk. The decanter is of traditional form, with a facet cut bulbous body, a waisted neck, flared rim, and cut-glass stopper. The body of the decanter is engraved with a dedication, which reads ‘Scott & Sheffield / Industrial Steels’. The engraved silver plaque, which is draped around the neck, reads ‘Sherry’, and is fully hallmarked for Roberts & Belk, dated to 1981, and stamped with the Sterling silver lion passant and the Sheffield Tudor Rose marks.
