Description

This stained-glass window depicts a scene drawn from chapter 10 of Saint Mark’s Gospel. In the scene, Christ, who is seated beneath a spreading tree, blesses young children brought to him while he was preaching.

The window is rectangular in form, with Christ seated to the right—beneath the spreading tree—and a young mother holding a child to the left. Three children surround Christ, while three partially concealed figures with halos stand behind him. The scene is set in the countryside beneath a blue sky and amidst green foliage, with buildings lining the horizon. The colour palette is bright and vibrant, with blues, reds, and greens predominating.
