Mid-Century Modern Design

Broadly speaking, Mid-Century Modern style refers to the mid-20th Century innovations and creations in the fields of art, architecture and graphic design. In particular, Scandinavian architects were hugely influential in the movement and encouraged clean lines and simple forms of design. The Mid-Century Modern style placed as much emphasis on function as form, and aimed to satisfy the needs of average families.
