Description

These electroplated relief shields date from the Victorian period. There is an oval shaped shield depicting the of the story of Adam and Eve, and another depicting the battle between the Archangel Michael and the fallen angel Lucifer. Both are signed 'morel-ladeuil'. One is dated 'fecit 1866' and the other 'fecit 1875'.

Larger plate: height 89cm, width 67cm
Smaller plate: height 86cm, width 66cm
