Two large Xianfeng style Chinese scrolls

The scrolls in this pair, which were crafted during the 20^th Century, take as their model Chinese scrolls popular during the reign of the Xianfeng Emperor, who ruled from 1831 to 1861. Such scrolls depict the Emperor enthroned, dressed in imperial regalia—as do the present pieces. Each is inscribed across the top in traditional Chinese script.
