Description

This planters in this pair are designed in the Neoclassical style of Napoleon III. Each planter is supported by three ebonised wood serpentine legs decorated with ormolu mounts. The taller planter features two stretcher shelves, while the smaller features one, with the rosewood shelves of both adorned with elaborate floral marquetry work. The ebonised wood and rosewood jardinière of each planter is cylindrical in form, with the exterior surfaces of each profusely adorned with panels of floral marquetry. Each planter is adorned with three classical mask ormolu mounts, and each features a pierced ormolu gallery around the rim.
