Description

The two plates are each coloured with an intense green ground, which is ornamented around the rims with gilt bands of geometric and foliate patterns. To the centre, one plate depicts a circular scene of Napoleon at the burning of Moscow, and the second plate depicts Napoleon meeting Emperor Alexander I at Tilsit. Each of the plates are marked to the underside with red printed factory marks of Gardner porcelain.
