Each satinwood column stands upon a square plinth, the upper edge of which is finished with a mounted foliate ormolu (gilt bronze) beading. Rising from a wooden torus, the shaft of each column is delineated with twelve flutes, the concavity of each flute being stained darkly. The shaft gradually tapers towards the top, where it is topped by a curvilinear capital. Above the torus and below the capital of each column, the fluting is infilled with mounted ormolu foliate motifs. Each column is surmounted by a marble and ormolu entablature, the latter of which is moulded in a foliate manner.
A set of four pedestals of very similar design, available here, can be added to these two pedestals to make a group of six.
