Description

Shaped with superbly accurate realism in the form of a lobster, and opening up with a removable top, this Victorian brass box is a spectacular statement piece. Of significantly larger dimensions, than most examples, it is unashamedly large and grand, functional, but clearly intended to be the focus of attention and make itself known.

It is made of brass and dates to Victorian England, where large animal sculptures such as this were popular, and almost competed with each other to be as bravado and visible as possible. For anyone who shares this temperament, and the desire to own such an impressive piece, this item is not one to be missed.
