This fine Victorian period side table features an octagonal tabletop inset with a plateau of Ashford Black Marble, also known as Derbyshire marble, into which is inlaid a pietra dura polychrome hardstone composition of flowers, which is surrounded by a floral garland and further encompassed by a malachite key pattern border. The tabletop is supported by a shaped ebonised wood column, which is in turn supported by a trefoil base further adorned with pietra dura floral inlays.
