The triptych is of ebony wood in arched form, and opens on hinges to reveal one central arched panel with two flanking semi-arched panels. Each of these panels are decorated to the interior with Viennese enamel plaques. The largest arched plaque to the centre depicts the Crucifixion. To the left the Resurrection is depicted, and to the right the Ascension. The triptych features a hanging loop to the upper centre of the back.
